A Woolworths customer has revealed a little-known Everyday Rewards hack that can double your points and “doesn’t cost a thing”.

Through the Everyday Pay feature in the Everyday Rewards app, customers can currently earn double points until March 31.

Customers need to add their bank card or gift cards to the digital wallet. They can then use their smartphone to pay and earn Everyday Rewards points in one scan via a QR code.

“It’s kind of useful if it means you don’t have to fumble for your cards at checkout. You just scan your phone and it does it all for you. So that part’s cool,” Aussie shopper Dad’s Money Hacks shared on TikTok.

“But the coolest thing is that by paying that way at Woolies, you’ll get double points on every single one of your shops.

“It doesn’t matter what you buy, whether it’s $10 or $100. It’s the easiest way to get double rewards points and get those $10 off vouchers faster.”

Double points apply when you use Everyday Pay in-store at Woolworths, Woolworths Metro and Big W.

‘Too slow’

While one Aussie called the hack “genius”, other people in the comments complained about the poor useability of the Everyday Pay feature.

“Gave it a good go for months but it's too slow. Quicker for me to scan [my Everyday Rewards] card in [the] phone wallet and then pay by card,” one person said.

“Except it's soo f***ing slow! And buggy! We still use it though but it is painful,” another user commented.

The TikToker agreed the system was “not super slick” but thought it was still worth it to score double points.

Other users raised privacy concerns around sharing their payment details in the app.

“I'm not keen on them sharing my credit and card data… so it's a no from me,” one person said.

Everyday Rewards said it offered a “safe, secure and easy way to save your card details and make payments” and used a verification system to protect you from potential fraud.
