One Australian woman has put every single other bargain hunter in the country to shame, saving $4,699.20 on a $143.60 on a Woolworths shopping spree.

The woman had made the most of Woolworths’ stationary flash sale, picking up hundreds of products that had been reduced to just 20c.

“Amazing savings!” the shopper wrote on Facebook group, Markdown Addicts Australia.

And she’s not a stationary collector; she was purchasing the products for charity.

“I was driving to work this morning and thought ‘I wish I could do more to help others’. Then saw these clearance items online and went YEAH!!” she said.

“I ordered this to use for a charity I’m involved in – Share The Dignity. We have a Christmas drive called ‘It’s In The Bag’ where we put together handbags and backpacks for at-risk and vulnerable women and girls.

“The bags include basic hygiene essentials and sanitary items. They can also include extras like stationery. I like to include the extras.

“I’m lucky that my local store has filled most of my order – they rang to confirm I wanted such a large order.”

The woman made two purchases, one for $91.20 with a saving of $2,971.20, and the other for $54.40, saving $1,728.

All up, she purchased 736 items including notebooks, pens, highlighters, folders, pencil cases and post-its.
