The $129 Aldi special buys product you need for summer

Aldi is selling a six-person tent for just $179 – but only this weekend.

Aldi special buys are a cult favourite among many people – and this weekend, it’s the more intrepid Aussies who will like what’s on sale.

From today (Saturday 14 September), Aldi is selling camping gear for such low prices you won’t want to miss it if you had road trips in mind for the upcoming warmer seasons.

An Instant Up Tent that fits four people is only $129, while a 6 person version is just $179.

It’s a bargain if you compare it to a similar 6-person tent on Amazon, which would set you back $269. A more premium option would typically retail for $699.99, such as this Coleman Instant Up Vestibule Dark Room Tent from Tentworld.

If it’s an air mattress you need, can nab a single bed air mattress for just $14.99 at Aldi this Saturday.

A 2.2m picnic rug would only cost $24.99, and camp chairs would be the same price each.

Of course, no camping trip is complete without cooking utensils: a full cast iron set is $99.99, and to ward off bugs, you can pick up a light with bug zapper for just $9.99 this weekend.

This range of Aldi’s special buys goes on sale today, has varied availability according to stores and is until stocks last.
