Woolies overhauls its unpopular loyalty scheme but shoppers still aren't happy
Woolworths is overhauling its unpopular loyalty program following complaints from customers.
The supermarket giant says from August 31 customers will earn rewards on every dollar spent at Woolworths and BWS stores, plus Caltex Woolworths outlets, moving away from the current system of rewards only for the purchase of certain orange-ticketed items.

"We didn't deliver enough orange ticket offers in-store and, while many of our members have been rewarded well, too many have not," Woolworths' Director of Loyalty and Customer Data Ingrid Maes said.
But within a matter of hours of the new scheme being announced, the move has already gathered a whole host of negative feedback from customers on its facebook page.
Many shoppers are questioning the math behind how long it takes to accrue enough points to turn their rewards into vouchers.
Meanwhile other shoppers are unimpressed that the supermarket giant has removed its points bonus for fruit and veg purchases.
Others simply point out that the reward system revamp is simply too little, too late.
