Yahoo Finance When’s the cheapest time to buy a Christmas tree?
Christmas is just around the corner and as fairy lights go up, so too does the expense of the annual silly season.
But if you’re not too concerned about having a real Christmas tree early in the season, you could save some money, according to Finder research.
“Tree sellers often discount their stock as you get closer to the day,” Finder money expert Bessie Hassan said.

“Most tree sellers know that if you don’t have a tree by the 15th, you aren’t likely to buy one, so there’s value in being a last-minute shopper.
“If you are thinking about price, you can net up a bargain if you are willing to be flexible about the size and type of tree. You can also save by using a few handy decorating hacks.
“Don’t be afraid to ask if it’s the best price they can do and know what competitors are offering.”
Most real Christmas trees last around five weeks, and generally cost between $45 and $220 depending on the size and time of purchase, so it’s always best to shop around for the tree that suits you.
