Your dream of living like a millionaire could be far more attainable than you’d think, thanks to Airbnb’s novel-inspired getaways for World Book Day.

For today only, 10 hosts will offer their literary-inspired spaces for US$17 (A$23.80) a night, plus applicable taxes and fees – the average price of a book – located in Australia, US, Sweden and UK.



Customers will have the chance to choose between selected dates throughout May, June, and July.

The list includes homes reminiscent of some of your favourite novels, whether that’s a luxury beach home in Palm Beach, Australia which evokes the setting of ‘Big Little Lies’, a home in New Bern, North Carolina, which is akin to ‘The Notebook’, or a massive estate in the village of Chawton, England, that was the birthplace of ‘Pride and Prejudice’.

It’s a beautiful day for a dip, old sport. This Long Island estate with its heated salt water pool, manicured lawn and luxurious interiors will whisk you away to another time. Whether spending the weekend mulling over past loves or staring out at the ocean that’s less than a mile away, you will do so in the lap of luxury. Don’t spend too much time forlorn, as there’s plenty to do in this Bridgehampton neighborhood.

Big Little Lies— Palm Beach, Australia
