Thinking of installing a pool? You’re looking at tens, if not hundreds of thousands of dollars.

According to Canstar Blue, a professionally installed fibreglass pool will set you back around $25,000 to $30,000.

But if you wanted a concrete pool, you’re looking at $50,000 to $100,000.

Then there’s fencing and landscaping. Glass pool fencing is around $250 a metre, while wrought iron fencing is between $450 and $600 a metre.

If you’re thinking of adding a deck, you’re looking at between $3,400 and $9,000.

Then there are the ongoing costs. A cheap pool cover costs around $60, while running a pool pump generally costs between $800 and $1,200 a year.

If you want to heat your pool, expect the electricity bill to jump an extra $75 each month.

It’s been a wild few days for Tesla, with shares surging as much as 9 per cent in early trade on Monday after its factory in Shanghai reopened after a coronavirus closure.

But how much does it cost to buy a Tesla?

Tesla lists the price of a Tesla Model 3 at $63,149 for a rear-wheel drive Standard Range Plus.

That goes to $77,501 for a dual motor all-wheel drive long range vehicle, and $84,773 for the dual motor all-wheel drive premium vehicle.

How much does a nose job cost?

Got a problem with your schnoz?

Rhinoplasty can help fix breathing problems, birth defects or injuries, but can also just be used to change the shape of your nose.

If you’re considering it, you’ll need to weigh up surgeons’ fees, anaesthetists’ fees, clinic or hospital fees’ and the costs for medication and dressings. And if you take time off work you’ll need to calculate that impact.

A nose job can cost between $8,000 and $20,000, Canstar found.

That’s based on $5,000 to $15,000 in surgeon’s fees, another $1,250 for an anaesthetist and another $1,500 for hospital costs.

That’s in addition to initial consultation fees of $100 to $500.

Medicare may cover some of the costs if you’re getting a nose job because of a medical necessity. The same goes for private health insurers.

How much does a wedding cost?

The average Australian wedding costs a bit less than Meghan and Harry's royal extravaganza.

The average cost of a 2019 wedding in Australia was $53,168, according to a survey of 500 brides by wedding service Wedded Wonderland.

That’s an increase of 3.75 per cent from 2018.

“Budget weddings are sitting at the $10,000 - $20,000 mark, whereas luxury spend is excessive of $100,000,” Wendy El-Khoury, founder of Wedded Wonderland said.

However, the Australian government’s MoneySmart has a slightly more reassuring figure: it puts the average Australian wedding at $36,000.

That covers:

  • Venue

  • Ceremony and rings

  • Food and alcohol

  • Flowers

  • Photography

  • Entertainment

  • Clothing and accessories

  • Cars, hair, makeup

But if that seems too expensive, you could do what Queensland couple Leonie Starr and Matthew Porter have done: pay for their wedding with recycled bottles.

Starr has collected hundreds of thousands of bottles, saving enough to pay for the entire wedding.

How much does a tattoo cost?

A tattoo's price depends on a number of factors. Image: Getty

This one is tricky to answer: tattoo prices depend on the experience of the artist, the size of the tattoo, the placing of the tattoo and the detail required.

Some artists will charge for time they use to design the tattoo outside of the actual appointment too.

According to Aussie Prices, tattoos range in price from $150 to $1,500 if you’re paying based on size.

If you’re paying for a tattoo artist by the hour, you’re looking at $100 to $250 an hour, depending on their level of experience.
