This unit near the Great Barrier Reef could be yours for just $28,000
In September, Yahoo Finance spotted Australia’s cheapest house: a one-bedder in Tasmania listed for just $20,000.
But now, we think we’ve found Australia’s cheapest holiday house.
If you fancy a holiday every now and then to North Queensland’s Magnetic Island, specifically Nelly Bay, you could be in luck.
For just $28,000 you can purchase a studio apartment in Mandalay Resort, which is just a short walk to shops and amenities and even snorkelling and swimming on the coral reef.
The studio is fully furnished with table furniture, a TV and other accessories, plus a kitchenette with a microwave, fridge and cupboards - and even some cutlery and dishes.
The Mandalay Resort itself has a swimming pool, tennis court, restaurant and bar, plus a laundry room and communal barbecue area.
The Domain listing also states “holiday letting potential options are available”.
