Half-price specials: Best Woolworths, Coles deals this week

Coles and Woolworths slash certain grocery items to half price each week.

Why? Firstly, to get shoppers through the door so they buy other products at full price.

Secondly, the concept sets the supermarkets apart from challenger Aldi, although the German budget retailer does have its own weekly deals that aren't half price.

For your convenience, Yahoo Finance runs up and down the aisles each week to select the best half-price deals this week – so Australians can make up their own minds which supermarket to patronise.

The products below are discounted from Wednesday October 16 until Tuesday October 22 inclusive:
