Two years ago, Aldi’s camping sale had Aussies turn into “absolute vultures”, and its August 29 Special Buy could trigger the same response.

The German giant is flogging a a camp swag for $129 - a fraction of the price a regular camp swag retails for. Boating Camping Fishing has swags ranging from $160 to $400, while Supacentre has a swag for $250.

The swag features a heavy duty ripstop canvas and a durable reinforced vinyl floor. It’s got lightweight poles, a high density 50mm mattress and guy ropes and pegs.

Aldi is also selling canvas storage bags for $19.99 on the same day, and a gazebo hub for $69.99.
