$100,000 salary: The foreign languages that could score you a pay rise

New data has revealed the highest-paying foreign languages in Australia and the jobs that are offering the most.

Hoping to score a pay rise in 2024? While job hopping or upskilling could be ways to nab a bigger pay packet, another option could well be learning a second language or brushing up on your existing skills.

Language-learning platform Preply has analysed thousands of Aussie job ads to discover the highest-paid and most-in-demand foreign languages right now.

Japanese speakers had the most lucrative salary prospects, Preply found, with an average wage of $100,863.
