'Paris is back to life': city holds music festival

The Fete de la musique is a celebration that takes place annually on the summer solstice, the longest day of the year, with musicians and DJs entertaining the public for free throughout the night.

This year's event felt particularly special to Parisians such as 20 year-old Mona, as COVID-19 restrictions like mask-wearing and curfews were lifted during the past week.

"Paris is back to life after Covid. We are all having fun. We put on music, we just dance and relax," she said.
