Davion Mitchell's grit & guts could boost Baylor to Final Four

Yahoo Sports college basketball analyst Krysten Peek explains why the Baylor Bears guard will play a key role in Monday's South regional final against Arkansas.

KRYSTEN PEEK: Time to look at who will display the grit and guts in the Elite Eight, brought to you by the all-new 2021 Ford F-150.

Baylor was the second best team in college basketball behind Gonzaga for 14 straight weeks this season. They received a number 1 seed in the NCAA tournament for the first time in program history this year and have beaten each team in the tournament by an average of 16 points in the first three rounds. A lot of that has to do with the leadership and tough defense from junior guard Davion Mitchell. Mitchell is one of the best on-ball defenders in college basketball and has been giving opponents all sorts of trouble in the backcourt and making it difficult to run the offense. The 6 foot 2 guard can also get it done on the other end of the floor, averaging 14 points per game in the tournament and shooting 60% from the field.

Number 1 seed Baylor will face number 3 Arkansas in the south region final Monday night. The competition is heating up and it will take another impressive performance from Mitchell and the rest of the Baylor Bears to advance to the Final Four for the first time since 1950.

Those grit and guts are thanks to the all-new 2021 Ford F-150. Tougher than before, smarter than ever.
