It operates through Ooredoo Qatar, Asiacell, Ooredoo Hutchison Asia, Ooredoo Oman, Ooredoo Algeria, Ooredoo Kuwait, and Others segments. The company offers mobile, fixed telecommunications, multimedia, data communication, and internet services; fixed voice, connectivity, and broadband products; home and internet TV; smart phones, tablets, internet devices and accessories; mobile wallet; and entrainment services. It also provides push to talk services; mobile satellite; solutions, such as Aamali bulk SMS, mobile money payroll, and microsoft intune; tetra services; Ooredoo tv for business; software-defined WAN; and satellite and on-premises network services, as well as hosting, cloud, security, and internet of things solutions. The company was formerly known as Qatar Telecom (Qtel) Q.S.C. and changed its name to Ooredoo Q.P.S.C. in June 2013. Ooredoo Q.P.S.C. was incorporated in 1987 and is headquartered in Doha, Qatar.
