Nittetsu Mining Co., Ltd. engages in mining activities in Japan and internationally. The company mines for non-metallic minerals, including limestone, crushed stone, calcium carbonate, gypsum, chips for pulp, silica rock, quicklime/hydrated lime, and dolomite; fuel-related products, such as petroleum products, coal, and liquefied petroleum gas; and fine chemicals comprising fire-retardant, calcium carbonate, Asheet paper shoe insoles, and white limestone. It also develops and operates Atacama Copper Mine located in South America, mining for metallic minerals comprising electrolytic copper, gold, and silver; and mineral resources, such as materials for steel manufacturing, copper ore, and other materials. In addition, the company supplies environmental products, such as polytetsu and tetsuflock wastewater treatment chemicals, and dashace deodorants; produces environment related machinery consisting of dust collectors; and powder and fluid-related machines comprising elbow-jet submicron particle separator air-classifiers and milk inspection agency plating machines. Further, it manages, leases, and sells office buildings, condominiums, restaurants, stores, factories, parking lots, warehouses, and other properties; engages in the survey and development of geothermal energy, and supply and sale of geothermal steam; and generates power using solar and hydroelectric plants, as well as supplies and sells electricity. The company was incorporated in 1939 and is headquartered in Tokyo, Japan.
