While some products go on to become infamous staple household items, others should never have left the boardroom.

Here are 14 of the worst brand name fails ever.

1. It's quite difficult to associate 'clean' with this product branding.

2. The saying 'if you can't beat it, join it' isn't always true.

3. They really scraped the bottom of the barrel with this interestingly named hot sauce.

4. Declicious soft drink or a servere acute respitory syndrome?

5. When surely 'chicken' flavoured soup would have done...

6. A classic name fail where the translation hasn't been taken into consideration.

7. There is many reasons why this product's branding completely misses the mark.

8. A shockingly inappropriately named product.

9. Branding doesn't always need to be quite so literal.

10. Overly safe and generic branding is also cringingly bad.

11. Guessing something went amiss with the translation here.

12. A Belgian chocolatier had to quickly rebrand after unintentionally associating with the Islamic State Group.

13. Was this the intended branding for a homemade jam?

14.  Detol's interesting, and rather uncomfortable, advertising campaign raises a few eyebrows.
