Woolworths, Coles slash seafood prices, reveal Easter savings

The two supermarkets have dropped the prices on a range of items ahead of Easter celebrations.

Coles and Woolworths have revealed their Easter savings for customers, with the supermarket giants slashing the price of seafood and other festive staples.

Coles is expecting to sell more than 500,000 kilos of fresh seafood to Aussies this Easter and says cooked prawns are the top pick for the holiday, making up half of that amount, followed by salmon, lobsters and oysters.

The supermarket has slashed the price of its raw banana prawns to $15 per kilo, down from $20 per kilo. It’s also dropped the price of its WA rock lobsters to $22 each, down from $27 each.

“We know that seafood is a centrepiece of celebrations at Easter, and we want to offer great value to our customers as they begin planning for the long weekend,” Woolworths chief commercial officer Paul Harker said.
