Yahoo Finance Woman slams friend over her ‘ridiculous’ online behavior: ‘She’s being so entitled’
A woman is considering ending a friendship over her Netflix password.
She went on Reddit’s “Am I the A******” forum to see if she overreacted. The woman gave her frugal friend her Netflix password, but the friend kept using the Reddit poster’s profile. When the friend refused to use the “guest” profile, the woman changed the password. Then things took a turn.
“I really think this is ridiculous and absurd which is why I’m here,” the Reddit poster said. “I have a three-year-old and [twins]. About a year or so ago, I made a reference to a scene from one of my favorite tv shows. [My friend] said the show sounded interesting and she wanted to watch it. She asked for my Netflix password and I gave it to her and told her that there’s a generic ‘guest’ profile for her to use. My husband and I share a profile. The twins each have their own profiles and the toddler uses the kid’s profile with the parental controls.”
Then the family noticed that something strange was happening in each of their profiles’ watching history.
“I casually brought it up with her and explained that it’s causing a lot of conflict between the twins. She chuckled and said that she has been choosing random profiles to watch her shows instead of the ‘guest’ profile,” the Reddit poster wrote. “She didn’t listen. So I changed the Netflix password. She said the twins have learned their selfish behavior from me. I’m really pissed and really want to cut her off completely.”
Reddit users thought the woman should ditch her friend.
“She’s being so entitled to YOUR service that YOU pay for,” one user wrote.
“She’s freeloading and cannot follow a simple request,” another said.
“She’s not much of a friend,” someone commented.
