Yahoo Finance Woman makes horrific discovery after receiving unusual message: ‘Scariest thing that’s happened to me’
A woman said she received an unusual message that left her horrified.
TikTok user @kimbreezeh said her phone flashed an alert that said an AirTag was detected in her area — and she had no idea where the tracking device might have come from.
“I was informed that an AirTag has been following me since 5 o’clock,” she said. “It didn’t tell me until, like, 11:30 p.m., but, you know … here it is tracking me.”

She showed her followers the screen that indicated that the device had been tracking her location to show her going home and going to the gym.
“I have no idea who could have done this,” @kimbreezeh said. She added that she went to a tire shop and they could not find a device anywhere on her car.
She then went to a police station to file a report, but said the officers told her that what had happened was not illegal.
“They would not take a report because there’s ‘nothing to report,'” she claimed. “I’m [supposed] to call them when someone shows up. That’s when they can help me.”
The user then stated that this TikTok is serving as a public record that someone seems to be following her, so if something happens to her, there is evidence that millions of people will see.
“This is definitely the scariest thing thats ever happened to me,” she noted in the caption of her post.
This isn’t the first time a TikTok user shared the horrifying discovery of an AirTag tracking them. When @murasakisweetpotatoes found one behind the license plate on the car she was driving, she reported the serial number on the device to law enforcement — but @kimbreezeh can’t even find the physical tracker.
Most of the commenters on @kimbreezeh’s post noted their disgust that law enforcement allegedly could not help her out, but one recommended that she tap the notification to make the AirTag play a sound. That way, she should be able to find hard evidence of the alleged stalking.
“If this is not, in fact, illegal … something needs to change, and fast,” one user said.
