A husband secretly sold all of the merchandise from his wife’s side hustle.
He asked Reddit’s “Am I the A******? (AITA)” forum for help after things took a negative turn. His wife had joined LuLaRoe, a clothing company accused of being a multilevel marketing (MLM) scheme. While he didn’t seem aware it was a pyramid scheme, he did learn his wife spent a ton of money on the merchandise. So, when she was away from home, he sold all of the items at a discounted price.

“My wife has recently started a side business or hustle (I don’t know the exact word she uses) recently with this LuLaRoe,” he wrote. “We have a shared account, but my wife likes managing it because she’s a perfectionist, and admittedly usually better at handling finances than me, so we agree to leave most of it to her.”
After a while, some of the couple’s friends complained that his wife was being too aggressive about selling the items. When he confronted her about it, she said he wasn’t being supportive. Then he discovered she had spent a “decent amount” of money, including some of their emergency fund, on the LuLaRoe products.

“I decided to sell most of her merchandise when she went over to her parent’s house for relatively cheap as it wouldn’t really sell for much higher, and while I thought it was a good decision at the time, with the way my wife and some family/mutual friends reacted, started to feel like TA,” he said.
Redditors felt that in this circumstance the husband had made the right move.
“People in MLMs can’t see how they’re falling victim to it and ruining their household so someone has to be strict and stop them,” a person said.
“That your wife is doing this AFTER it’s well known they’re failing is even more reason for you to protect yourself immediately,” another commented.
“LuLaRoe is a very dangerous pyramid scheme,” a TikToker replied.
