Vitesse vs Tottenham: Prediction, kick-off time, TV, live stream, team news and h2h results

Tottenham take a second-string team to Holland to face Vitesse Arnhem in the Europa Conference League tonight.

Spurs have left Harry Kane, Heung-min Son and their big guns back in London to rest ahead of Sunday’s Premier League trip to rivals West Ham.

Nuno Espirito Santo has insisted that decision does not indicate a lack of respect for the Europa Conference League but it is clear that, for now, this competition is not his priority.

After a 1-1 draw with Rennes in their opening Group G match, Tottenham thrashed NS Mura 5-1 to put themselves in a good position ahead of back-to-back games against Vitesse.

The Dutch side are sixth in the Eredivisie. They have beaten Mura and lost to Rennes in their opening two matches.

Date, kick-off time and venue

Vitesse vs Tottenham is scheduled for a 5.45pm BST kick-off on Thursday at the GelreDome.

Where to watch Vitesse vs Tottenham

TV channel: Tonight’s match will be televised on BT Sport 1.

Live stream: BT Sport subscribers will be able to watch the match online via the website or through the BT Sport app.

Vitesse vs Tottenham team news

Spurs are without the 10 outfield players who started Sunday’s win at Newcastle who, likely along with goalkeeper Hugo Lloris, remain in London.

With Ryan Sessegnon and Matt Doherty sidelined through injury, most of Nuno’s team therefore picks itself.

The only big question for the head coach was whether to hand another start to Dane Scarlett after 17-year-old forward struggled to make an impression in his first three appearances in the competition.

Steven Bergwijn will start for Spurs for the first time since the win over Watford in August after recovering from injury.

Tottenham XI (4-2-3-1): Gollini; Tanganga, Sanchez, Rodon, Davies; Winks, Lo Celso; Bergwijn, Dele, Gil; Scarlett.

Subs: Austin, White, John, Fagan-Walcott, Clarke, Cesay, Matthew Craig, Michael Craig, Lyons-Foster, Markanday.

Vitesse vs Tottenham prediction

Vitesse cannot be taken lightly and, with Nuno set to make 11 changes from the team that beat Newcastle, it is hard to know what to expect from Tottenham. This has the potential to be an uncomfortable night.

1-1.

Head to head (h2h) history and results
