Virgin, Jetstar drop flash sales: Fares from $29

Dreaming of your next getaway? Well, you could be in luck, with two of Australia’s biggest airlines both dropping massive sales to destinations across the country.

Virgin Australia has released half a million fares as part of its EOFY sale blitz, including to Hamilton Island, Hobart, the Gold Coast, Melbourne and Cairns.

Fares start from as low as $49 for economy one-way tickets and are available on selected flights between August 7, 2023 and March 26, 2024.

Budget airline Jetstar is also running its Friday Fare Frenzy sale today, slashing the prices on fares from Sydney to destinations like Ballina Byron, the Sunshine Coast and Hamilton Island.

Prices start from just $29 one-way, with flights on offer for travel dates from July 4, 2023 to September 19, 2023 depending on your destination.

For those keen to travel further abroad, there are also sale flights to Auckland and Queenstown in New Zealand starting from $169 one way.

But you’ll need to get in quick. Jetstar’s sale is only running until 8pm tonight, unless sold out prior. Virgin’s EOFY sale is running until midnight next Friday June 30, 2023.
