$67 flights: Virgin drops 7-day sale
Australian carrier Virgin is launching a week-long sale of discounted flight tickets in a move that comes amid high demand following a previous sale.
The sale, which began at 12:01am today, will last until midnight next Monday (29 March) and will see one-way economy class fares across 52 domestic destinations begin as low as $67.
For $67, Sydneysiders can get to the Gold Coast, and Melbournians can jetset to Adelaide. Gold Coast to Melbourne will cost $77.
Launceston residents will be able to fly to Melbourne for $79, while those in Hobart can get to Melbourne for $89.
The price of business class tickets have also been slashed: those in Melbourne will be able to fly to Sydney in comfort for $279. Gold Coast residents wanting to visit Sydney or Adelaideans visiting Melbourne will be able to jetset in style for the same price.

Your Virgin flights will also include baggage, seat selection, and Velocity Frequent Flyer Points and status credits.
A Virgin spokesperson said discounted flights were being offered in a bid to support the tourism industry.
“We’re excited about the future of travel in Australia and so are Australians,” the spokesperson said.
“Flight searches on virginaustralia.com increased 523 per cent, whilst bookings jumped almost 157 per cent for the day, making it the highest search volume day, and highest booking day since pre-COVID.”
The cheap flights won’t stick around for very long: the sale ends midnight next Monday AEDT, or unless sold out prior.
You can find the flights at virginaustralia.com under the 'Find your city vibes' sale.
