Yahoo Finance Witnessed stunned by 'UFO' hovering in the sky - but can you tell what it really is?
The unidentified flying object seen in a viral TikTok video has quite a simple explanation, sadly quashing any alien theories people had.
Earlier this week, a TikTok video was posted showing what appeared to be a UFO hovering in the sky in New Jersey, in the United States.
The video shows not only the mysterious flying object, but people getting out of their cars along the highway to film it on September 14.
Admittedly, it is hard to decipher whether comments on social media relating to the UFO are sarcastic or not, as many suggested on TikTok it could be government activity.
“Perfect, they’re here,” one user commented, presumably alluding to aliens.
“Take me away.”
“And here’s our October preview,” someone else said.
More than 4.5 million people have viewed the TikTok video, though footage of the UFO has been shared to other social media platforms.
“I still can’t believe a UFO was spotted in New Jersey today,” someone commented on Twitter.

“I knew I saw a UFO in the projects,” someone wrote on Instagram, also sharing footage from the 14th.
“I thought somebody said aliens don’t exist,” they joked.

While the posts on social media are legitimate and an alien invasion in 2020 would only be fitting, the mysterious flying object has since been identified, and it’s nothing otherworldly.
The UFO was actually just a blimp.
A Goodyear Blimp was flying over New Jersey on the 14th, near MetLife Stadium where the New York Jets and the Pittsburgh Steelers were playing, Snopes reported.
A Goodyear representative confirmed to Business Insider the blimp was flying across New York and New Jersey on the 14th.
