Turn eyeshadow into gorgeous, unique lipstick shades with this super simple hack

It’s the makeup equivalent of looking in your stuffed closet and finding nothing to wear: looking in your packed lipstick collection and hating every shade. But this DIY hack makes that trouble a thing of the past by turning eyeshadow into killer lip shades.

In the latest Pretty Beautiful episode, In The Know producer, Lisa Azcona turns eyeshadow into lipstick using a creative internet hack. All you need to recreate this DIY is eyeshadow (obviously) and a clear lip balm.

First, apply the lip balm to your lips like normal. Some great options for this particular beauty DIY include fresh Sugar Lip Balm, Lord Jones CBD Lip Balm and lilah b.’s Lip Balm. Then, apply your eyeshadow of choice on top until you reach the saturation you want. Lisa used Make Up For Ever eyeshadows in shades purple matte, navy blue metallic, tomato matte and wine matte. The winners, according to Lisa, are definitely the matte red shades.

“This hack is perfect for when you want to try a new shade of lipstick but don’t want to splurge on an entirely new one,” she says in the video.

Lisa smartly suggests picking a single eyeshadow or eyeshadow duo for reapplication on-the-go. After all, carrying around a 24-shade palette just to DIY a lip color is a little much, even for the most passionate beauty lover.
