With the help of one simple incision, you can quickly and easily fold a tortilla over any of your favorite ingredients without making a mess. This particular recipe features a flavorful medley of seasoned shredded pork, pico de gallo, shredded cheese, and refried beans, topped with all the quesadilla classics. For a quick and easy way to make quesadillas that are restaurant-grade delicious, look no further than this quesadilla recipe hack.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb shredded pork

  • 1 tsp chili powder

  • 1 tsp cumin

  • 1 tsp smoked paprika

  • 8 large flour tortillas

  • ½ cup shredded Mexican blend cheese

  • ¾ cup pico de gallo, extra for garnish

  • 1 cup refried beans

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • Guacamole, for garnish

  • ½ cup sour cream, for garnish

  • Chopped cilantro, for garnish

  1. Combine shredded pork with chili powder, cumin, and paprika in a small mixing bowl.

  2. Lay a tortilla down flat and make a vertical cut up to the center of the tortilla using scissors.

  3. Use the incision as a reference to visually section the tortilla into quadrants. Then, add the seasoned pulled pork to one quadrant, cheese to the other, refried beans to the third section, and pico de gallo to the last.

  4. Start from the bottom left quadrant and fold the tortilla up and over the top left section, then fold it over the top right before stopping at the bottom right.

  5. Heat olive oil on the grill, then add the quesadilla and cook over medium heat for 3 minutes on each side.

  6. Remove from the heat and garnish with guacamole, sour cream, pico de gallo, and freshly chopped cilantro, and enjoy!
