There are some tech gadgets that really make you think they came out of a spy movie. The Spy Camera USB Phone charger by WEMLB is one example and it’s easy to see why it’s going viral on social media.

Like many products that gain traction online, this spy camera is popular thanks to TikTok. Creator @Mik.Zenon put viewers on to the tiny solution that allows you to keep tabs while you’re away.

“So this looks like a regular USB wall charger, right?“ Zenon says in the video. “Well, what it actually is is a hidden camera. It connects to your Wi-Fi and streams and records in HD resolution. It’ll help you keep an eye on your home, office or dorm room from wherever you are.“

The video itself has 1.2 million likes and over 9 million plays. Naturally, thousands of comments flooded in about how people would use the device for their own purposes.

“Me seeing what my dogs do when I’m not home,” one user commented.

Another user commented on the video saying “OMG I’m so good, but when I see this, it makes me want to spy on some people.”

In addition to its recording capabilities (which include night mode), this device also features motion detection and sends an alarm to your phone when set off. It’s great if you need an inconspicuous nanny cam or to simply keep an eye on your family for emergencies.

You can snag the USB charger spy camera for just under $50 on Amazon where shoppers say it’s good for the price.

“Believe me when I say it works!” one shopper wrote in a review. “No one at home has noticed it so far, and I don’t expect them to. I plugged it into my kitchen with a charger and no one has suspected anything. If you ask me, they are just happy there is a free charger laying around in the kitchen and no one claims ownership for it.”

Another customer who left four stars said that the spy camera “does work,“ but the camera’s night vision wasn’t the best.

“A neat little device that does work,” the customer wrote. “Hooks up easily and charges itself as it is plugged in. Set-up and usage instructions are easy to understand. Picture quality was okay, wide camera angle for a good view of the area being monitored, motion detection functions quite well. Night vision was not really the greatest, works best in moderate to bright light. Low-level light, it still works but images can be grainy.”

Maybe 007 won’t be snagging this one up anytime soon, but you definitely should if you’re looking for a simple way to keep an eye on your home without detection.
