TikTok creator shares unusual hack for perfect hair

A TikToker has found a unique, yet extremely effective, strategy to never have a bad hair day again.

Liz Fox Roseberry (@foxcraftcustom) posted a video of her using a pasta strainer to get the perfect texture for her hair.

When TikTokers saw this video, they were in shock.

“I’ve learned more from TikTok than high school and college combined,” commented @maggieod915 under the original post.

It is a little odd using a kitchen utensil as a beauty product, but Roseberry sees that side of the hack as well.

“I can’t tell the difference between genius and crazy anymore lol,” she wrote in the caption of the post.

Nevertheless, the strategy works and fellow TikTokers are following her lead.

Roseberry noted that using a strainer helped her focus on her roots and keep her curls intact, as opposed to using a traditional diffuser and “[knocking] out all the waves.”

She also said in a follow-up video that results are going to vary, but that the method works “best for super curly hair and with some kind of plop!”

One concern that came up with this hack is the fact that people would be heating up metal close to their bodies. Yet, Roseberry doesn’t think that will be too much of a problem.

“Tbh doesn’t get as hot as you’d think! Most hairdryers rarely even get over 130 so. Compared to most tools not bad!” she replied to a commenter @soundseducedheidi. “Still good to be cautious tho!”

The original video continues to be a viral sensation, climbing to 17.6 million views and over 620,000 likes. TikTok loves to learn new things and Liz Fox Roseberry and her kitchen equipment lead to an unusual, fun tutorial.
