Happy Meals have been popular with youngsters since McDonald's introduced them in 1979, not least because of the toys included within, some of which are now worth serious cash to collectors.
From Hot Wheels cars to Beanie Boos, here are the nostalgia-inducing Happy Meal toys fetching a decent chunk of change on auction sites today.

Hot Wheels (1983)

Back in the early '80s, McDonald's teamed up with Hot Wheels to give out cars with their Happy Meals. The rarest of these toys are now worth several hundred dollars on the collectors' market, especially if they're in mint condition and in their original packaging.
Furbies (2000)

McDonald's jumped on the Furbies craze 23 years ago with its own version of the toy. Nowadays a single clippable Furby from a Happy Meal could fetch up to $180 on auction sites such as eBay, with whole sets commanding a small fortune.
Snoopy's World Tour (2000)

McDonald's launched a set of Snoopy toys to commemorate the character's 50th birthday. Fast forward to today and these little canine keepsakes are highly sought-after by collectors around the globe.
Fraggle Rock (1992)

Featuring a cast of quirky characters, kids TV show Fraggle Rock was a big hit in the 1980s, so it's no surprise that McDonald's jumped on the bandwagon. These collectables are now almost impossible to come by, with full sets fetching upwards of $400.
