Stormzy has confirmed that his long-delayed UK tour in support of his 2019 album Heavy Is the Head will take place in March and April 2022.

The rapper, 28, was forced to postpone the hotly anticipated tour in response to the pandemic but finally announced the new dates on Tuesday.

The tour will be Stormzy’s biggest to date and includes three nights at London’s O2 Arena as well as shows in Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham and Glasgow.

It will begin on Sunday March 13, 2022 at the Motorpoint Arena in Cardiff. The tour will end on Monday April 4, 2022 at The OVO Hydro in Glasgow. Original tickets will remain valid for the new dates.

Originally from Croydon, Stormzy rose to fame with his song Shut Up which was initially released as a freestyle and posted on YouTube.

He has since release two bestselling albums and became the first British rapper to headline Glastonbury festival in 2019.

December 2020 saw him sign with influential hip hop record label Def Jam after leaving Atlantic Records, joining some of the biggest names in music including Kanye West and Nas.

Stormzy’s rescheduled tour was among a string of touring problems amid the coronavirus pandemic. Sir Elton John, Genesis and The Rolling Stones also were among acts forced to delay live dates.
