Someone has listed the Sydney Cricket Ground for sale on Domain
In what seems to be the best marketing ploy of the year, someone has listed the Sydney Cricket Ground on Domain, just days before it is set to host the Domain Pink Cricket Test match between Australia and New Zealand.
According to the listing, which was posted by Domain Test Sydney, the 123-bathroom property offers 45 parking spaces, and even a large cellar and beer system to cater for crowds of up to 48,000.

“This is the most unique of offerings, an unprecedented mix of heritage and modern architecture and a Sydney landmark that pre-dates the Opera House and Harbour Bridge,” the listing states.
“This much-loved property has had only three owners in its 160 years and sits on the doorstep of the sights, sounds and flair of Australia’s famed Harbour City.”
And, in a strange coincidence, the “unique facility” is open for inspection from January 3 to January 7 - the same dates as the Sydney Test Match.
Property highlights include:
Collection of heritage pavilions, Brutalist 1980s grandstands and modern spectator facilities;
Multiple dining rooms with a capacity of 6-600;
Two fully equipped commercial chefs kitchens, with additional smaller finishing kitchens around the site;
Ice baths, hot spas and other elite recovery facilities;
Security system that includes CCTV and a 24-hour staffing service;
Polished concrete floors in modern areas, heritage carpet in traditional facilities; and even
12 onsite gardeners.
While there’s no official price guide, the listing states it’s an “opportunity that’s not to be missed”.
