Snapchat launches first-of-its-kind interactive augmented reality dance series

Does your Woah need some work? Could your Renegade use refinement? Worry not — Snapchat’s latest series is designed to kick your social media dance game up a notch.

Move It! is the first immersive and interactive Snap Originals dance series, harnessing Snapchat’s Augmented Reality Lenses — which feature both body and hand tracking technology — to teach just about anyone the latest trending dance routines taking over the internet.

The innovative show has recruited some of today’s biggest Dance Influencers to give you a step-by-step guide to performing shareable dance routines in order to make dance accessible to everyone.

Hosted by online dance sensations Dytto and Michael Le and executive produced by multi-Emmy award-winning producer Gina Matthews, Move It! will offer viewers a shot at becoming dance influencers themselves: The best user-submitted routines will be selected and broadcast in a Community Our Story in the Snapchat app for the world to see.

The show, which is sponsored by Verizon, also features an opportunity for participants to cash in big via Spotlight — a new platform launched last month by Snapchat that is distributing a total of $1 million per day to creators of its top-viewed content.

Move It! will air commercial-free later this month and will include a sponsored lens that will be exclusive to Verizon subscribers in its final episode.

So tune in and dance along. Who knows — you might just become the next big thing.
