Schwinn’s best-quality bike is the IC4 indoor cycling bike, and it’s currently $200 off. Plus, it ships free and comes with a mat, 3-pound weights and a Bluetooth heart-rate armband for measuring your BPM. It’s great for riding along in a virtual spin class, pumping the pedals to your own music or casually spinning while you watch Netflix.
Schwinn IC4 Indoor Cycling Bike, $799 (Orig. $999)
Unlike Peloton or SoulCycle, the IC4 doesn’t come with a touchscreen for streaming classes, but that’s what makes it more affordable and versatile. It has a tablet holder on the front so you can stream whatever you’d like. Subscribe to the Peloton app, take SoulCycle classes via the Equinox+ app or find another app for online classes. (The bike is actually compatible with the Peloton app and those like it.)
You can pedal in your regular sneakers with the included toe cages or clip in with SPD-compatible cycling shoes for a more rigorous ride. Its full-color LCD screen will show your time, distance, calories burned, speed, RPM and heart rate BPM.
As for how it rides — it’s incredibly smooth and sturdy, albeit compact. You could easily slide this into your living room corner or an apartment bedroom. At only 106 pounds, it’s easier to move around if you need to, compared to those with a big screen attached.
On sale, the IC4 costs $799. If you’re looking to spend a little less, check out the comparable IC3 bike marked down to $549.
