Get a Samsung S10 on Telstra discounted for almost the price of Optus

Australia’s two largest telcos, Telstra and Optus are looking to cash into your new phone feeling before the Easter break, with both launching huge deals on flagship devices and sim-only plans.

Telstra looks like it’s trying to get more iPhones and Samsung’s latest flagship Galaxy S10 devices out, offering $10 a month, or $240 over the life of your contract bringing it much closer to the competition.

The Galaxy S10e is the one they’re really pushing, which is now available for $79/month on Telstra with 20GB of data. This is only $4 off Optus’ 20GB plan for the Galaxy S10e, but you get the advantage of being on the Telstra network which has better mobile coverage in rural areas.

If you want more data, they also have 50GB available for $89 a month. Also just a $4 gap now compared to Optus’ equivalent plan.

Similarly with the Apple iPhone 8 Plus 256GB model, Telstra has a $480 discount on over the life of you plan. Meaning you can pick one up for $99 a month with 20GB of data. While the iPhone 8 Plus might not have the new edge to edge OLED display, it still has a great camera, is super fast and still runs all the same iPhone apps. Plus it’s $40 a month cheaper than the equivalent iPhone XS plan.

And if you already own your device, you’re in for a treat with Optus’ sim-only deal which offers 80GB of data for just $40 a month. Easily one of the best data for dollar deals we’ve seen before.
