The rugby league world has been left awestruck by an incredible slice of history in the English Super league.

Hull Kingston Rovers centre Ben Crooks sealed an extraordinary record after scoring what is the fastest try ever seen in a professional game of rugby league.

The insane moment came during Hull KR's dramatic one-point victory against the Huddersfield Giants.

Hull opened the scoring in eye-catching fashion after the Giants made a mess of the kick-off.

Jordan Abdull booted the ball downfield for the Rovers, with several Huddersfield players failing to take control of the footy after a couple of wicked bounces.

Crooks capitalised on the uncertainty from the opposition to pounce on the loose ball and touch down for a try after just seven seconds.

The lightning fast four-pointer from the Rovers centre was not only the quickest in the competition's history, but anywhere in the world.

The try bettered the previous Super League record of 14 seconds from St Helen’s Tim Jonkers, set in a 2002 clash against Wakefield Trinity.

It also eclipsed the NRL mark of 11 seconds set by Kirisome Auva’a for the Parramatta Eels against the Brisbane Broncos in 2017.

Rovers snatch win after historic try

The moment was made even sweeter for Crooks and the Rovers after Abdull kicked a 78th-minute field goal to snatch the 25-24 win.

However, it was all about the record-breaking try after the match as fans hailed Crooks and the first try in professional rugby league history to be scored in single-digit figures.
