Roommates look to upgrade their living space during NYC apartment hunt

On this episode of In The Know: Find My Dream Room, host Will Taylor (@brightbazaar) helps roommates Mia and Daniella upgrade their Manhattan living space by finding them a suitable and spacious WFH apartment with at least one amenity within their $4,000 budget.

The first apartment Will shows Mia and Daniella is a 2-bedroom unit without amenities, but it has been newly renovated. The roommates loved the lighting in the bedrooms, and the apartment’s movie night nook. And at $3,900, the unit just squeaks under their budget.

The second unit has not just one amenity, but four. The apartment boasts a virtual doorman, a wine fridge, a dishwasher, and in-unit washer-dryer. Mia and Daniella were excited by the exposed brick in both of the bedrooms of the unit, but it was slightly over budget at $4,200 per month.

Last but not least, Will shows a very unique two-bedroom apartment with a spiral staircase that leads to a living room and stunning rooftop deck that just begs to host an extravagant party. While the rooftop terrace is tempting, this unit is slightly over Mia and Daniella’s budget at $4,400 per month.

Three weeks later, the roommates send an update revealing that apartment number one stole their hearts. “We’re currently sitting in the little living room nook, and we’ve been having a great time so far,” Daniella shares.
