Yahoo Finance Pacers guard Malcolm Brogdon tests positive for coronavirus, says he plans to join team in Orlando
The NBA season hasn’t restarted yet, but the Indiana Pacers are already dealing with a positive coronavirus test. Guard Malcolm Brogdon confirmed he tested positive for COVID-19 on Wednesday.
Brogdon, 27, issued a short statement on the Pacers’ website stating he was “feeling well,” and that he intends to join the team in Orlando for the season restart.

The NBA is aiming to continue its season in Orlando on July 30. NBA players are expected to participate in workouts at team facilities in early July. Brogdon could presumably be finished with quarantine around that time. He would not be cleared to rejoin the team unless he tests negative for coronavirus.
Players must undergo coronavirus testing in preparation for the NBA’s restart. The league expects a significant number of players to come back with positive tests.
While Brogdon is one of the few players to confirm his positive test, he’s not the only player who has tested positive for coronavirus after the most recent round of tests, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
