Yahoo Finance ‘Owner was naked’: Agents strip off to sell this Noosa nudist retreat
A Noosa nudist retreat is gearing up to hit the market, but two listing agents reveal they had to do something a little different to ensure they were the ones to sell the property.
Harcourts Noosa agents Clint Jensen and Jeremy Krieger told Realestate.com.au they were able to convince the retreat owner, Rainer Mueckenberger, to sign off on the sale – if they came naked.
“Jeremy and I were prospecting (for listings) on Gumtree when the ad for [the nudist retreat] came up and we thought f**k it, this sounds like us,” Jensen said.
When they arrived at the retreat, the men wore their regular suits, but the owner and a few guests were in the nude.
“The second time we went out he said we would have to be there in the nude if he was going to sign the paperwork, so yes, we made that promise,” Jensen said.
“It was a listing pitch like no other.”
The two agents revealed they drove to the listing in the nude to ensure they didn’t back out of the deal.
The 2.5 acre Noosa Nudist Retreat features an outdoor ‘nature gym’, a BDSM room, a romantic rock cave with a spa bath and massage table and a pool where you can swim – naked of course.
It hosts workshops, seminars, art retreats and team building activities.
The site states that owner, Mueckenberger, who grew up in Germany, has been an avid nudist and nature lover since he was 16.
After coming down with a bladder infection in Croatia, his doctor suggested he trade wet shorts for his birthday suit. And so he did.
“Besides the health benefits, I loved the friendliness of the people and was amazed at how clean the nude beaches were,” he said. “The people really cared about nature and being a part of it, instead of trashing it.”
