NewsBreak: FDA in Criminal Vaping Probe; 530 Sickened

Investing.com - The U.S. Food and Drug Administration said Thursday its enforcement arm is involved in a criminal probe of e-cigarettes, The Washington Post reported.

The FDA said 530 people have suffered an as-yet-unknown vaping-related illness.

The criminal probe had started earlier in the summer, when the illnesses were first reported, the Post said.

Philip Morris International (NYSE:PM) shares were up 0.3% midday, while Altria Group (NYSE:MO) dropped 2%.
