If you haven’t experienced the rush of wedding invitations hitting your mailbox, maybe you’ve at least heard about the 2022 wedding boom. You’re not imagining it — more people are getting married than usual this year. Why? Well, 2020 and a chunk of 2021 put many nuptials on hold due to the pandemic. So everyone who was supposed to get married then is getting married now.
Nonetheless, more weddings mean more gift buying. Luckily, most couples create a registry with items they actually need or want. Well, these days it seems it’s mostly stuff they want.
Data shows that more people move in together before tying the knot, so couples likely already have all the traditional home stuff. Therefore, bridal registries now list fun things like yard games, electronics, scooters and items couples might not have the extra cash to buy themselves.
That said, The Knot’s sixth Annual Registry Awards revealed that experiences and virtual gifts, including digital gift cards and cash, are the most requested wedding registry gifts of 2022 in The Knot Registry Store.” The most requested gift cards go to travel giants Airbnb and Delta Airlines, in addition to NBA and MLB tickets (date night, anyone?). Although, with sites like The Knot that offer online wedding registries, family and friends can also gift couples cash digitally to go towards a honeymoon, a new house or even a new puppy.
For those who are more traditional, though, you’ll be glad to know that the classic KitchenAid Artisan 5-Quart Stand Mixer, Dutch ovens and dishes still made the list. And if you prefer to give a physical gift, see below for more of the most requested wedding registry gifts by soon-to-be newlyweds.

4. Instant Vortex Plus 10-quart Air Fryer Oven, $119.99 (Orig. $149.99)
This air fryer comes from the makers of the Instant Pot, so of course, it can do more than air fry. It can also broil, bake, roast, dehydrate, reheat, and it has a rotisserie setting. One major plus is that it also has a clear window in the front so you can watch your food cook.

Who wouldn’t want to keep this limited-edition electric kettle on their countertop? It’s gorgeous! The Italian-based Smeg brand is known for its retro-inspired appliances, but this kettle is a bit more modern thanks to its metallic exterior. On the inside, it has a removable, washable stainless steel limescale filter.
6. Coyuchi Organic Crinkled Percale Sheet Set, $168–$258
Percale is an organic cotton material that’s soft and breathable but sometimes overly crisp. Coyuchi’s percale sheets are perfectly broken in right out of the box and have a lightly crinkled effect for a more relaxed look and feel.

The Frame TV sits flush against the wall like a picture frame, and it looks like art when you’re not using it. Put it in Art Mode and you can choose the picture or artwork that appears on it in a matte display, from Monet and Picasso to family photos. However, to save energy, it also has a motion sensor so you can set up your art to display only when you’re in the room.
