By Liz Moyer

Investing.com -- U.S. stocks fell Tuesday at the start of the Federal Reserve's two-day monetary policy meeting. Here are the midday movers for Sept. 20:

Gap Inc (NYSE:GPS) shares fell 4.4% on reports the casual clothing retailer plans to cut 500 corporate office jobs as it tries to readjust from the pandemic. Change Healthcare Inc (NASDAQ:CHNG) shares rose 6.6% after a judge blocked the Justice Department's request to block its acquisition by United HealthCare. UnitedHealth Group Incorporated's (NYSE:UNH) shares fell 0.8%. Hertz Global Holdings (NASDAQ:HTZ) shares fell 2.7% after it announced a plan to buy 175,000 electric vehicles from General Motors Company (NYSE:GM). GM shares fell 5%.
