Michael Corleone’s ‘Godfather’ home hits market
Michael Corleone may be a creation of fiction, but his four bedroom Staten Island home isn’t and it’s hit the market for A$1.93 million.
And its film heritage hasn’t gone unnoticed, with interested parties already lining up to take a look – and have fun quoting the Oscar-winning film, broker John A. Vernazza told the New York Post.
While the home was the setting to violent crime in the 1972 film, its current owners Elaine and Peter Albert who bought the home for A$274,000 in 1977, enjoyed a much quieter life in the Tudor-style home.
“It was peaceful,” Elaine Albert said.
“The [school] bus came to the corner. It was nothing like the movie.”
The couple didn’t purchase the home for its movie past, instead they loved the block.
The home has four bedrooms and two bathrooms.
“The Tudor home itself has old world charm at its best with some stained glass windows lovely sun or music room formal living and dining rooms and family room,” the listing on Coldwell Baker reads.
There are a total of three fireplaces in the home.
It also comes with a grill and patio.
Don Vito Corleone’s home hit the market in late 2014 for A$4 million.
