Manifest season 4 is officially underway, and fans couldn't be more thrilled.

Months after NBC canceled the plane mystery drama and Netflix revived the series following weeks of fan pressure and record-breaking streaming numbers, show creator Jeff Rake recently shared a behind-the-scenes snap on Twitter of the Manifest cast filming a scene for the new season. "AND WE’RE BACK! #Manifest," Jeff tweeted alongside the photo.

What's more, actors J.R. Ramirez and Matt Long also shared some photos on social media showing them working on the next installment of the supernatural series. J.R. in particular wrote a long, emotional caption thanking fans for demanding that the show continue after NBC decided to pull the plug following the season 3 finale.

"The reality is ALL of This Magic is happening because of YOU guys! You guys made this happen! We Love You. Can’t wait for you to see how it all comes together… #Manifest #Netflix #Season4," J.R. wrote.

Apart from J.R. and Matt, Deadline reports that Netflix executives were able to recruit back actors Melissa Roxburgh, Luna Blaise, Jack Messina, Holly Taylor, Ty Doran and Parveen Kaur for the fourth and final season. The next installment will have a total of 20 episodes and will likely be released on Netflix in two separate parts beginning in late 2022.

While the cast and crew is busy trying to create the next season as quickly as possible, Jeff told Entertainment Weekly that he wants to make sure things aren't too rushed.

"We're going to work as fast as we can while still keeping an eye on quality control, because we want to get episodes to everyone as soon as possible. We also want them to be excellent," he explained. "It might take a minute for a brand-new batch of episodes to show up in people's homes, but it's going to be worth the wait."
