Manchester United vs Liverpool: FA Cup prediction, TV channel, live stream, team news, h2h results, odds

Fans will be hoping for an improvement on their previous showing as Manchester United and Liverpool face off for the second time in eight days.

A dismal 0-0 draw was played out at Anfield in the Premier League, but this time a home tie in the FA Cup fifth round against either West Ham is up for grabs.

Jurgen Klopp will be keen to advance and get his side back to winning ways following a surprise slump in form, while Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will see the game as another chance to show his team are progressing into one capable of challenging for honours this season.

Date, time and venue

Manchester United vs Liverpool is scheduled for a 5pm GMT kick-off on Sunday, January 24, 2021.

Team news

Solskjaer is expected to name a strong line-up. Marcus Rashford should come back, alongside Bruno Fernandes and Paul Pogba and behind Edinson Cavani.

Scott McTominay should get the nod in midfield, though his partner's spot is up for grabs.

Klopp should return Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino to his starting XI, though Sadio Mane could drop out.

Andy Robertson is in need of a rest, though Liverpool's defensive worries could see that delayed.

Prediction: Manchester United 1-2 Liverpool

Solskjaer has a knack of coming up trumps when he is under pressure. But he’s not at the moment, and faces a Klopp gunning for a big win.

Liverpool are misfiring at the moment but can count themselves unlucky during that run. I expect that to change at Old Trafford.
