Porzingis caught an elbow from Grizzlies forward Josh Jackson late in the third quarter while going up for a defensive rebound. He came back to finish the game with 32 points and 12 rebounds.
He told media afterward he didn’t have a headache or any symptoms, and he was allowed to return. He said he plans to visit with the doctor Thursday morning and find out further information, including if he’ll need to miss time.

It’s Porzingis’ third consecutive game with at least 30 points and 10 rebounds. Porzingis, who missed time with right knee soreness already this season, is averaging 17.8 points, 9.1 rebounds, 1.9 blocks and 1.4 assists per game.
The Mavericks (31-20) are already without guard Luka Doncic, who injured his ankle in practice last week.
