Kendall Jenner on Being Shy Compared to Her 'Much Louder' Kardashian Sisters: I'm 'Not Much of a Talker'

Kendall Jenner on Being Shy Compared to Her 'Much Louder' Kardashian Sisters: I'm 'Not Much of a Talker'

Kendall Jenner regularly strips down for Calvin Klein ads, magazine covers and photo shoots – but the supermodel actually describes herself as "more introverted."

In a new post on her website and app shared Tuesday, the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star opened up about "how I handle my shyness."

"Growing up, I didn't care that I was shy. I never really cared – I just went with it," she wrote. "And in some ways, I kind of liked it."

Jenner, 20, is perhaps the most reserved of the Kardashian-Jenner clan and explained that all of her sisters "are much louder" than she is, so growing up, "it was OK that I didn't have as much to say."

"Well, it's not that I didn't have that much to say – I just kept it to myself," she clarified.

"When I think something, I don't usually say it, which is fine. It's more that I'm introverted," she continued. "I never had anxiety about it. I knew it was part of who I am and I owned it."

Jenner went on to describe how she has worked on being more outspoken since becoming a model.

"I still get really shy easily. But, being in this industry, surrounded by so many people all the time – going to parties and having to turn it on or off – I can almost flip it like a switch now," she wrote.

Of course, she admitted the nerves do kick in around certain people.

"I only get shy if I'm around people who make me nervous, which I guess is normal," she said. "I'm still not much of a talker, but I do know how to converse and communicate. I've grown out of it a little bit for sure, but I think that was bound to happen."

Indeed, Jenner's sisters would tend to agree with her: In a recent post on her website and app, Khloé Kardashian praised Jenner for being the most "private" of the sisters.

"Even though she's young ... she knows the value of keeping things quiet," said Kardashian, 31. "She's really reserved in her relationships and I think we could all learn something from Kendall."
