Jetstar giving away free flights for a year

Jetstar is celebrating its 19th birthday by giving one lucky Aussie the chance to fly free for a whole year.

Looking to take to the skies but don’t have the cash for expensive flights? Today is your lucky day because Jetstar is giving away free flights for a year.

The airline is celebrating its 19th birthday by encouraging Aussies to “get soul searching” by jetting off to see the world - and Jetstar will pay for the flights.

And don’t worry - you won't have to go it alone. With 86 destinations to choose from, the winner will be awarded 12 domestic return flights and six international return flights - with an extra seat for their globetrotting bestie.

Why give away free flights?

While it’s common for 19-year-olds to jetset off on a journey of self reflection, according to Aussie life coach Lana Hall, the desire for adventure and new challenges should be explored in all stages of life.

“No matter how old you are, when you’re feeling stuck or unsure of the direction you’re heading in your career or life, there’s nothing quite like doing something out of your comfort zone,” Hall said.

“The first step is opening more doors to new experiences, which is why travel is a great way to help in self-discovery.

“Holidays and travel can build new connections in our brain, which can then lead to new ideas about who you are, who you can be, and what’s possible for you! It also helps spark inspiration and boosts creativity, as it opens your mind to different ways to live.”

How can I apply?

For the chance to win free flights for a year, Aussies need to visit Jetstar’s Instagram and answer in 19 words or less: “If you could try any job for a day, what would it be and why?”

The competition closes at 11:59pm, May 31, 2023. For full terms and conditions, head to Jetstar’s Instagram @jetstaraustralia.
