Urgent: Why you need to update your iPhone right now
Your iPhone is most certainly vulnerable to determined cyber criminals, and a recently-discovered iPhone flaw could see your device in the control of hackers.
Google’s security research team, Project Zero, found six iPhone security flaws – and one of them still hasn’t been fixed, The Sun reported.

Of the five that have now been patched by Apple, four of them have compromised the iPhones through a text message filled with a malicious code.
And, once you open the message, that’s it: the cyber criminal has remote access to your device, meaning they can access your photos, your messages, even your bank details – or crash it and wipe it completely.
What about the one remaining flaw? How does it work?
The details of the sixth vulnerability aren’t being revealed so hackers can’t figure out how to exploit it.
Apple’s still working on fixing it.
How can I protect myself?
While there’s no known way to protect yourself from the sixth flaw, you can protect yourself from the other five by simply updating your iPhone iOS to 12.4, the latest version.
“Keeping your software up to date is one of the most important things you can do to maintain your Apple product's security,” Apple stated in a recent security update.
To update your iPhone, simply go to Settings, General, Software Update, hit ‘Download and Install’, and enter your passcode if it’s asked for.
You can choose to update it immediately or choose to install it tonight when your phone is plugged in overnight.
