After-hours buzz: Steelcase, Boeing & more
Check out the companies making headlines after the bell Wednesday:
Steelcase (NYSE: SCS) shares rose about 4 percent after the furnishing solutions provider posted second-quarter earnings.
Aircraft maker Boeing (NYSE: BA) announced a deal to sell 300 airplanes to China's aviation industry. Boeing will increase production of its 737 aircraft to 52 a month in 2018 in order to meet demand. It expects China to be its largest commercial airplane market over the next 20 years.
Worthington Industries (NYSE: WOR) shares inched lower after the bell. Earlier, the metals processing provider declared a dividend of 19 cents a share, unchanged from the prior quarter.
Conatus Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ: CNAT) shares surged 43 percent after the small-cap drug maker released results from a study of its emricasan treatment.
Valero Energy Partners (NYSE: VLP) said it acquired the Corpus Christi Terminal Services Business from a subsidiary of fuel provider Valero Energy Corp. (NYSE: VLO) for $465 million.
