Hartford Financial, Mimecast Partner on Cyber Security Drive

The Hartford Financial Services Group, Inc. HIG has collaborated with Mimecast to provide training programs that are intended to boost awareness about the increasing cyber threats and reduce human error.

Mimecast — an email and security company — would offer Mimecast Awareness Training services to Hartford Financial’s customers so that the latter can handle a cybersecurity incident before it takes place.

Cyberattacks are becoming more sophisticated and that is a concern for the company. The staff can easily be targeted by complex phishing and social engineering attempts and the entire system can get affected if they reply to an email that looks original. Educating the employees with this enlightening program would safeguard the company’s business from cybercrimes, data breach and ransomware.

The Mimecast Awareness Training includes some humor, which is supposed to assist employers in teaching their workforce about serious issues, such as wire fraud, password hygiene, ransomware, etc.

Management at Mimecast believes that companies should make concerted efforts to impart important details on cybersecurity solutions to their employees.

Earlier, the company invested in a ‘defense-in-depth’ strategy that uses several security measures, aiding to protect the integrity of its information assets. The company constantly works on blocking cyber threats on a daily basis. In order to tackle this problem, it even resorts to its Cyber Incident Response Program depending on the kind of incursions it suffers from time to time.
